Michael A. Carter Jr. is the Founder and Creative Director of MACJR Design, a creative consultancy specializing in branding, marketing communications, instructional design, and visual storytelling.
With more than 12 years of professional experience, Michael has partnered with organizations across healthcare, education, transportation, nonprofit, and commercial industries to transform complex ideas into clear, engaging, and effective visual communications. His career combines creative leadership with business operations, allowing him to bridge strategy, design, and execution while leading projects from concept through production.
Throughout his career, Michael has directed and contributed to a wide range of creative initiatives, including brand identity development, marketing campaigns, packaging and print production, presentation design, instructional design, publications, environmental graphics, illustration, cartography, video production, and creative operations. As the owner of a commercial print and marketing business, he also developed expertise in production workflows, vendor management, and translating creative concepts into high-quality finished products.
Michael is proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Captivate, Microsoft 365, AI-assisted creative tools, and a variety of project management and production platforms. He enjoys solving complex communication challenges through thoughtful design, collaborative leadership, and continuous learning.
